IntroResearch

Our society has a lot of social problems caused by aging, climate change, great change of people's senses of values and etc. Our goal is to solve our social problems by applying advanced robotics and mechatronics technology. We are interested in how to integrate information technology into mechanical machines in any field.

We are now focusing on the following topics, but our areas are expanding with no limitation! :

Developmet of Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV)

Motion and gait algorithm for PMV to move on rough terrain

  Self driving technology for PMV

  Drive support technology for PMV

  Control technology for comfortable ride

Welcom to this page!

We have already developed around 15 mobile robots, and through each development we have been doing our research analytically and experimentally. Our key fields on robotics and mechatronics at this moment are mechanical design, system design, motion and gait algorithm even on rough terrain, sensing for rough terrain and surrounding area, SLAM technology, easy-control of PMV and so on.

We will continuously expand our applicative fields towards disaster, agriculture and welfare. In other words, your strong interest on any field could open the door of new research topic and this means the great possiblity for you.

We sometimes encourage you to attend a high level competetion both for educational and research purposes. The competetion let you progress more and more through group works and communication internationally.

It is my great pleasure to hear from you if you have any interest and questions on our research.

Thank you very much and good luck to you!
