It is indispensable for managing disaster and aiding rescue operation to develop a situation display system which observes a stricken area and exposes it to operators. To realize such system, we plan to construct such system which is composed of multiple mobile robots with omnidirecitonal vision and auditory sensors and rescue map building system. We propose a rescue map which includes visual and auditory information as a method for displaying the stricken area.
Final Goal
Our system will provide visual and auditory information which assit to plan rescue operation.
How to gather information
Multiple mobile robots are delivered to the stricken area. Each robot equips with the following sensors.
- Omnidirectional vision sensor
- Microphone array
Example task
How to represent situation
- Absolute coordinations
- We assume one of our mobile robots utilizes GPS at least.
- Sensor information
- Visual information
- Auditory information
