KSRUG, the research group of early childhood science education, led by Dr. Takuya Kotani of Osaka Ohtani University,
invited Dr. Esmé Glauert of University College London, Institute of Education,
and had a symposium at Osaka Ohtani University Harukas Campus, Osaka.
Due to the COVID-19 problem, the symposium was held without audience and recorded the talks.

Institute of Astronomy (IoA), University of Tokyo, held at Mitaka Campus of IoA, Tokyo.
I visited International Astronomical Union Office for Astronomy Outreach office
in National Astronomical Observatory of Japan
and discuss about new topics and events of astronomy education with the staff.

I visited the monthly activity organized by the NPO,
Picture Books for Weak Eyesight Children,
with one of my graduate students, Sagisaka Kanae-san.
On the day, titled Touch the Universe, we brought the solar demonstrator model from ground viewpoint.
The model was originally developed by NASE.
I and two graduate students, Uenoyama Sachiyo-san and Sagisaka Kanae-san,
added some device for the visually-impaired to understand well and easily.
We enjoyed astronomy event for about ten visually-impaired children, their parents, and supporting staff of the NPO
to learn and understand why summer is hot and winter is cold, how the motion of the Sun changes throughout the year,
and how the motion is different depending on the latitude of observing site,
held at a hall for Suita Citizen Public Activity Center, Suita City, Osaka Prefecture.

The teacher-training program of
NASE
which has been developed under a working group of teacher training of the International Astronomical Union
had its 152nd course in Japan, at Osaka Kyoiku University Tennoji Campus,
NASE-Japan 2019.
Professors and graduate students of Wakayama University and Osaka Kyoiku University together with
Rosa Ros of NASE president and Beatriz García of NASE vice-president served instructors.
More than 50 participants,
including teachers of elementary schools, high schools, and special need schools, retired teachers,
staff of teacher-training center, university staff studying education of science or childhood,
students studying astronomy or astronomy education, staff of science centers,
friends member of the centers, enjoyed the course.

held at Attached Elementary School, Faculty of Education, Wakayama University.

I will be on the radio on 12 November 2019 in a regular program of charity campaign and raising awareness for visually-impaired people,
on Radio Osaka, 1314 kHz.
The personality of the program, Nishimura Toyoko-san kindly invited me to the program,
and today we recorded the program with the program announcer, Okada Toshiharu-san.

I visited Izumi Child Kindergarten at Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture,
and performed astronomy outreach activity "Enjoy Evening Sky" at the kindergarten playground
with many children and their parents, and kindergarten teachers from 17:00 to 18:00.
We enjoyed thin crescent, its slow moving in the sky, Jupiter: the first star of the day,
the legendry pair of starlore: Vega and Altair, and many interesting questions from children and parents.

Our seminar group visited a special activity organized by Kinokuni Kodomo NPO,
a nonprofit organization for local children.
The NPO planed a camp and as a pre-activity of the camp,
we perform "Trip to the Universe with Mitaka-Arpa Fusion Performance,"
held at Kahoku Community Center, Wakayama City (90 min, from 13:30).
Mitaka is software for visualizing the known Universe with up-to-date observational data and theoretical models,
developed by the Four-Dimensional Digital Universe (4D2U) project of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ)
Arpa is the music instrument of harp played mostly in Paraguay and other Latin American countries.
A senior undergraduate student, Nakano-kun, guided the Mitaka and M2 master-course student, Uenoyama-san, played the arpa.
