I attended a science cafe on "Diagram of our Universe 2013,"
a beautiful poster of cosmology and our present view of the universe,
organized by "tenpla,"
an astronomy popularization project by young astronomers,
held at Reversible Destiny Lofts Mitaka, Mitaka, Tokyo.

and talked about stars using the air-dome planetarium NEX.

with the principal Ms. Yamada Chieko, the president Mr. Tanaka Hirohiko, and

Six of first-grade students of Izumi-Tottori Senior High School visited
the Astronomical Observatory, Faculty of Educaion, Wakayama University,
with four teachers and five university students who guided the university.
One of the teachers is Miyasaki Keiji-sensei
who got his master's degree from Wakayama Univerisity,
and he majored astronomy in my semiar.

He and I discussed about astrophoto by cell cameras, astronomy play with young kids.
Yoshizumi Chiaki-san and Okyudo Masami-san showed him
the digital dome theater of Faculty of Turism.

held at Yoshida Izumidono garden, Kyoto University.
The meeting was organized as a pre-workshop of
"Evaluation of Science Communication" session at Science Agora 2013,
and also as 36th meeting of Kansai branch,
the Science Communication Society of Japan.

and gave a lecture about astronomy to 80 of the 2nd grade students.

I attended EU Universe Awareness workshop 2013,
held at House of Astronomy, Heidelberg, Germany.
I joined the workshop of Evaluation and Assessment guided by Dr. Grace Kimble.
The workshop was great and exciting to me,
and I learned a lot from this activity.

I attended the 2nd meeting on universal-design astronomy education,
held at National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, Mitaka, Tokyo.
The meeting was especially discussing about astronomy education
among impaired people.
I worked as a member of the organizing committee,
and worked as a leader of group discussion about international collaboration.

and performed astronomy outreach activity.

I visited Kii Kindergarten, Wakayama City (18:30-21:00).
Yumibayashi Takuya-sensei, the vice principal invited me as in last year,
and he proposed a Moon watching party in the evening
with observations through binoculars and telescopes.
Luckily, the night was clear and temperate as was in last year.

at the 2nd seminar of the KIT Center for Promotion of Gender Equality, Kyoto Institute of Technology, Kyoto.
My talk was coupled with
a wonderful talk by Atsumi Naoki-san of Diversity and Work-Life-Balance division
of Toray Corporate Business Research, Inc.

where Azuma Chiho-sensei gave lessons on natural environment to a senior high school class.
Nakatani Yukio-sensei of Faculty of Educaion, Wakayama University arranged
the visit and guided the school.

to about 50 children and their parents and teachers of Asunaro club, Konohana Ward, Osaka City,
at nearby public hall.
The after-school day-care club teacher Ms. Sakura Itai and other staff helped the event.

Kotani-san and I enjoyed the session.

attended the lecture.

and performed astronomy outreach activity.
This time, Dušan from Serbia joined the activity.
Children played with him,
and he discussed with the principal Ms. Akemi Hyodo about
international collaboration on science education.

This time, Dusšan from Serbia, who stayed at my office, joined the activity,
and children played with him.
The after-school day-care club teacher Mr. Kuzusako and other staff helped the event.

as a preparation seminar for Kinokuni Science Olympiad,
a science contest for high school students in Wakayama Prefecture.

Mr. Dušan Radosavljević of Preschool Teacher Training College, Novi Sad, Serbia,
an expert associate for Informatics, STEM application and risk management,
stayed my office at Wakayama University.
His theme was
"The Strategy for Achieving the Socio-Economic Benefits of Space Knowledge and
Technology Applications; Education and Human Resources Development
- lessons for structural reforms of Serbian educational system."
He was interested in developing new space education and astronomy education
in Serbia and the Balkan area
in order to connect human minds and cultivate their friendship.
I showed him space educaion activities by IfES (Institute for Education on Space, Wakayama University),
astronomy education for early childhood of my studies.

held at Osaka Kyoiku University, Tennoji Campus, Osaka City.

The 2nd starry event for primary school children going to after-school day-care clubs:
I talked about stars and Martian story
to about 100 children and their parents and teachers from four clubs in Higashinari Ward of Osaka City,
at Narukawa-Enchi Park in the Ikoma mountains, where they enjoyed their summer camp activity.
Though it was cloudy and I had to talk,
we enjoyed the gibbous Moon for a while.
The after-school day-care club teacher Ms. Kotaki and other staff helped the event.

stayed at Kiso Observatory,
Institute of Astronomy,
University of Tokyo, Nagano Prefecture,
for student's observation practice,
together with
Dr. Tomohiko Yamagata and his students of Bunkyo University,
Dr. Masaru Hamabe and his students of Japan Women's University,
Dr. Shingo Nishiura and his students of Tokyo Gakugei University,
and Dr. Nobunari Itoh and his students of Mie University.

The school is conducting the Science Partnership Program (SPP), "Be Astro-Girls."
The program consists of four lectures, and today was the final day;
I talked and discussed with students, "Reports on Observations through the Kol-Kit Spica Telescope" in the morning,
and after lunch, students enjoy seeing the 12m radio telescope of
Institute for Education on Space, Wakayama University,
and 60cm reflector of Astronomical Observatory of Faculty of Education, Wakayama University.

for about 20 primary school children.

The school is conducting the Science Partnership Program (SPP), "Be Astro-Girls."
The program consists of four lectures, and today was the third day;
I talked and discussed with students, "Making a small telescope and how to observe through the telesopce."
Each student enjoyed making a Kol-Kit Spica telescope.

I visited Wakayama Shin-ai Senior High School, Wakayama City.
The school is conducting the Science Partnership Program (SPP), "Be Astro-Girls."
The program consists of four lectures, and today was the second day;
this time, Dr. Saeko S. Hayashi, an astronomer at Subaru Telescope,
National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, Hawaii, talked through skype,
with the title of "Most advanced astronomical observations and latest views on the universe,"
and I helped her talk at the school.

The 1st starry event for primary school children going to after-school day-care clubs:
I enjoyed finding the first star popping up into view in the evening
with about 50 children and their parents and teachers from four clubs in Nishi and Minato Ward of Osaka City,
at Yahataya Park, Minato Ward, Osaka City.
We found the evening star of Venus, Arcturus, Vega, Altair, Deneb,
Spica, Saturn, and the gibbous Moon.
The after-school day-care club teacher Mr. Sakaguchi and other staff helped the event.

at Sundai Astronomy Lecture Course,
held at Sundaigakuen Junior and Senior High School, Tokyo (16h to 17h).
This year is the 48th year of the lecture course,
and my lecure is the 565th one.
Several dozens including primary school children and Sundai high school students
joined my lecture.
