I visited Osaka Kyoiku University, Science Education Center with two of my students, Kono, Akari-san and Miyazaki, Megumi-san. Then I visited Kobe University to discuss with Dr. Hara, Toshio about science education.

I visited Hikari Nursery School where Professor Shimada's students had a concert for children.

We had a science cafe, Cambrian Coffee Time, at a university restaurant. The speaker was Mr. Gejun Lee who worked at Chengjiang Station of Palaeontology, Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology. He talked about fossils in the Cambrian bio-explosion epoch. [Pics: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4]

The graduation thesis and master thesis presentation of Department of Earth Sciences, university year of 2007, was held at Earth Sciences Experiment Room.

I visited Nokami Elementary School, where Nokami Takahiro-kun, one of our students, were doing his teacher's training.

I met Dr. Akiyama, Hiroaki, an assiatant professor of Innovation Center for Engineering Design and Manufacturing, Faculty of Engineering and Resource Science, Akita University, and Nagata, Tomohiro-san of Stragetic Information Systems Department, Information Systems Division, Suntory Limited, who work on Can-Sat project.

I visited Hidaka Senior High School, Gobo, Wakayama, as a committee person of Super Science High School Committee. I also gave a lecture, Video letters from young astronomers at Subaru, to 62 1st-grad students.

This school year, I have been working on collecting various stuff on the subject, life environmental studies. We had a final class, Symposium on Life Environmental Studies, and was successful.

Ms. Ueda, Megumi, a life environmental studies teacher of the attached elementary school of Faculty of Education, Wakayama University, came to Wakayama University to give lectures on life environmental studies classes. Her husband, Mr. Lee, Gejun, who worked at Chengjiang Station of Paleaontology, Nanjing Institute Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, also came to the class and gave a small talk.

I gave a small talk on the Moon, distance scale in the Universe, and the Moon mission Kaguya, at an advent event held at Tenoji Ward Center hosted by Karahori Kotoba-Juku, a group for children's education and regional community.

The full-sized model display of the NI rocket will be removed from Namba CITY, a station shopping mall at Namba Station, Osaka (pic1, pic2). The NI rockets were launched in the 1980s, which was the lastest model for that time in Japan.

In the morning, I visited Hikari Nursery School, Fujiidera City, Osaka. This day, `Tanabata' Festival (a traditional Japanese summer star festival) was held at school inviting parents. I and my students, Kono Akari-san and Higa Takako-san, took part in the festival and did our outreach activity.
In the evening, I visited Nakayoshi Nursery School, Osaka City. I and my students, Kono Akari-san and Higa Takako-san, took part in the festival and did our outreach activity.
