授業の概要・ねらい
/Course Aims
This class focuses on developing English communication skills. This will be accomplished by daily practice based on the extensive reading homework assigned from the textbook. Students will also be required to write short passages in English for homework. In class, students will practice reading, writing, listening, speaking, and memorization daily. Students will also practice how to properly and effectively use dictionaries to enhance their performance.
到達目標
/Course Objectives
By this end of this course, students should be able to easily use a wide variety of English grammar and vocabulary. Students should be able to become autonomous learners and users of English to facilitate wider usage of the English Language in university and beyond graduation. Topics covered in the textbook and in class will help students widen the limits of their English language ability.
成績評価の方法・基準
/Grading Policies/Criteria
Class work 20%, Mid-Term Exam 40% (8th day of class), Final exam 40% (16th day of class). Students who miss more than 4 classes will not receive credit for this course.
