授業の概要・ねらい／Course Aims	This class focuses on developing English communication skills. In order to effectively use the English language, students must become accustomed to the fundamental dynamics of conversation. This will be accomplished by daily conversation practice that includes listening, reading, writing and memorization practice. Students will also learn how to properly and effectively use dictionaries to enhance their performance.
到達目標／Course Objectives	By this end of this course, students should be able to easily use a wide variety of English grammar and vocabulary. Students should be able to become autonomous learners and users of English to facilitate wider usage of the English Language in university and beyond graduation.
成績評価の方法・基準／Grading Policies/Criteria	Class work 20%, Mid-Term Exam 40% (8th day of class), Final exam 40% (16th day of class). Students who miss more than 4 classes will not receive credit for this course.
教科書／Textbook	No textbook is used in this course.
参考書・参考文献／Reference Book	An English-Japanese / Japanese-English Dictionary is required and must be brought to class everyday. Students must use dictionaries to complete assignments. Smart-phones and computers are not permitted to be used as dictionaries.
