This class is about communicating in English and will focus on speaking and listening to others in an effective manner. |

Together we will work on developing the skills that are necessary for a TOEIC score of 450+. |

成績評価の方法・基準 ／Grading Policies/Criteria |
Homework assignments along with in-class written quizzes (60%), a speaking test (20%) and a final exam (20%) will make up the total grade. |

No textbook will be assigned for this course. However printed material will be provided as needed. |

The idea behind this class is to provide you with a situation where you can feel comfortable practicing English. For our classes, a good way to do this is for you to work together in pairs and in groups of perhaps three or four students. |

Students are expected to have a Japanese-English/English-Japanese dictionary， a file folder， a ruled notebook and a pen in every class. |

授業理解を深める方法 ／How to deepen your understanding of classes |
Class participation is expected from all students. Pair and group work will be mixed with class presentations and regular interactions with the instructor. Opportunities for both leadership and teamwork building will be a constant throughout the term. Videos and songs used in class will be available on YouTube for review. |
