授業の概要・ねらい
/Course Aims
Designed for progressing into more advanced communication competency, students will speak in English in front of a large group for a variety of presentation purposes, become capable of analyzing and expressing more complex ideas (effectively utilizing visual aids and nonverbal techniques), and be better prepared for dynamic interaction in English.
This course aims to further deepen consideration and analysis of intercultural communication using English (surpassing language knowledge and information to focus on effectively connecting to an audience and facilitating mutual understanding) in order to support communicating in an educational context. As such, activities will include reproducible tools for future educators.

授業時間外学修についての指示
/Instructions for studying outside class hours
Watching effective examples of presentations and communication techniques online outside of class is recommended to develop. Practice of spoken and nonverbal communication is necessary. Taking notes during class, then reflecting on class activities, topics, and techniques is highly recommend. Writing out such reflections may be useful to deepen your understanding. Using a video recorder to record your practice and watch it to find areas of improvement can be very helpful. Asking others to watch you practice and give feedback may also be helpful. All students will develop learning plans focused on quality time outside of class for language input and output. Further details will be given in class.
