授業の概要・ねらい／Course Aims	This is a pre-intermediate level communication class. Students will be taught how to communicate in everyday situations using English conversation techniques. The class will be taught using a variety of study guides and internet assignments. Every effort will be made to follow the syllabus as closely as possible.
到達目標／Course Objectives	My goal is to give you the opportunity to communicate successfully and with confidence, in an English-speaking environment. Let’s do it together.
成績評価の方法・基準／Grading Policies/Criteria	Participation and Performance 15% Class Assignments　20% Oral and written Examinations 　65% Attendance will be considered when determining the final grade
教科書／Textbook	No textbook will be assigned for this course. However printed material will be provided as needed.
参考書・参考文献／Rreference Book	Students should bring a dictionary to class and be prepared to participate.
履修上の注意・メッセージ／Notice for Students	I recommend that all students bring appropriate stationary and B5 size paper to class.

授業理解を深める方法／How to deepen your understanding of classes	As I have stated, participation in class activities is paramount to achieving a better understanding of the topic. Examples of class participation are as follows: 1. Students will be required to participate in pair work and group work activities. 2. Students will be required to make presentations and/or speeches in front of the class. 3. Students will be required to conduct internet research and present their findings to the class. 4. Students will be required to interact with the instructor either through question/answer sessions or conversational activities. The goal of these activities is to give the students an opportunity to apply their learning to real life situations.
