授業の概要・ねらい
/Course Aims
This course aims to expose the students to a variety of Environmental Humanities approaches that shed new light on tourism-related content. Artistic sensibility, manifested in a number of intersections of people's mobility and environmental concerns, will be explored through a selection of theoretical/creative writing. It also aims to nurture awareness of the site-specific aspects of academic research on tourism.
到達目標
/Course Objectives
The students will gain a general awareness of the multidisciplinary discourse on "anthropocene" as a background of an emerging environmental sensibility to travel and place.
Students will develop a nuanced understanding for the positionality of power structure of travel discourse.
Students will acquire insight into added cultural value and its articulations in specific sites.
Students will initiate networking in tourism research.

/Grading Policies/Criteria
Weekly discussions based on the reading material.(30%)
Reflection piece related to the students' selected thesis topic.(30%)
Final Reportage Essay.(40%)
