授業の概要・ねらい
/Course Aims
This graduate school course is designed as a practicum that should be taken in conjunction with
Social Research Methodology for Tourism Studies (観光学のための社会科学研究方法論). It should ideally be taken during the first year of the Master's program.
This practicum will be based on intensive reading of two particular methods of (i) Interview and (ii) Ethnography. Students will be able to:
(1) Develop practical skills in using these methods
(2) Develop analytical and reflexive skills
(3) Get a chance to engage in writing up a methodology paper

/Course Objectives
Upon completing this course students will be able to
(1)Gain practical insight on the research process
(2) Be able to simulate data collection processes
(3) Fine-tune their research designs
(4) Gain experience in reporting/writing up of results
