授業の概要・ねらい /Course Aims |
This graduate school course is designed as a practicum that is ideally taken as a part of the two-course set with Social Research Methodology for Tourism Studies. it is designed to allow students to engage in either simulated or actual field research experience. As such, students will be able to: (1) Develop practical skills in using the social science methods toolkit (2) Develop analytical and reflexive skills (3) Get a chance to engage in some preliminary writing or field research reports |

Upon completing this course students will be able to (1)Gain practical insight on the research process (2) Be able to simulate data collection processes (3) Fine-tune their research designs (4) Gain experience in reporting/writing up of results |

Students need to be proactive in designing their projects. They should be able to devote time in planning and executing the projects properly, so some planning in advance will be required. Students are expected to have completed Social Research Methodology for Tourism Studies; this will be a major advantage for this course. **日英両方の言語で実施します (The course will be conducted in both English and Japanese) |

Devote time for reading, watching multimedia materials for project planning and implementation, try to plan in stages and try to be self-critical during the planning, execution, and reporting process. |
