授業の概要・ねらい /Course Aims |
The Foundations of Tourism Studies course introduces students to the bigger picture of tourism studies, where industry and management are considered one sub-field of tourism rather than the main objective. The aim is to develop students’ ability to think critically about the tourist, tourism culture, and the societies in which they operate. Key debates in critical tourism scholarship will be explored and the students will then reflect on the role of critical tourism studies for their future involvement with tourism. |
