授業の概要・ねらい
/Course Aims
This course is designed to make students familiar with latest research in tourism studies. Students will read research papers from academic journals/databases as well as hone their skills on identifying logical claims, research gaps, and major arguments (contentions). In addition, the students will also receive guidance on conducting Literature Review when undertaking academic assignments (such as writing research papers or presenting in academic conferences).

From this course students will be able to
(1) Familiarize themselves with latest research publications on a chosen topic
(2) Analyze arguments, knowledge gaps, and logical claims
(3) Articulate their own logical frameworks
(4) Prepare an academic literature review (Annotated bibliography)

Class assignments 20%, Annotated bibliography 30%, Presentation 30% Report 20%
