授業の概要・ねらい
/Course Aims
Based on active communication between teachers and students, as well as between students, the course offers students activities for implementing studies and research on their themes, subjects and issues. By taking this course, students aim to acquire the ability to advance their studies and research in tourism studies and ultimately produce a graduation thesis.
Each course instructor will give students advice from the view of their expertise to let them conduct explore a specific theme by themselves.
This is a part of GP2.0.
Students are required to entry GP2.0 and contined to sophisticate their academic English skill.

/Course Objectives
Students can work on a theme, subject or task under the direction of a supervisor and express the progress or results in an appropriate manner.
Be able to manage the process of producing the results  (outputs) of study and exploration themselves.

/Grading Policies/Criteria
Comprehensive evaluation will be based on participation in discussions, contribution to the class and other activities, the content of in-class assignments, and assignments such as presentations and reports.
For specific evaluation criteria and the percentage of each evaluation method, please check with your instractor at the start of the class.

/Notice for Students
The Global Seminar requires you to make some presentations which show your research progress and outcomes in English in English Lab Ⅲ and other opportunities.
Official presentations will be held.

This is a part of GP 2.0.
Students must enry GP and take classes required.
Students must take consultation with their instructor before registration.
Use PC.
GS may cost for exploing research themes.

/Instructions for studying outside class hours
Take enough time to preparing  for and reviewing the class.
In addition, independent research and consideration of themes, subjects and issues are required.
It will take two hours each week for pre and post seminars.
In addition, you need to do self-learning for academic English.

/How to deepen your understanding of classes
Students will work on themes, subjects and issues that match their interests in accordance with the advice of their instructor. Activities such as group work and presentations will also be incorporated.

1 1 Guidance1 Explain about the seminar, how to proceed with the activities The plan is an outline of the seminar. Please check with your instructor for details.
2 2-15 Studies for specific themes Based on the content studied through Specialized Research I, each student will decide on a theme of interest to him/her and examine how to approach that theme.
Students will review texts and related literature on the theme, discuss issues they wish to pursue, and deepen their understanding.
Students will explore the research theme in depth through fieldwork and analysis of materials. Specific activities will be presented by the instructor.
3 16 Guidance2 Review the activities during the summer break and confirm the schedule for the second half of the seminar.  As well as the management of study processes, students make sure of the research themes methods, processes, etc.
4 17-29 Studies to deepen understanding of specific themes Based on their expertise, they conduct research and analyze materials to delve into research topics.
In relation to the theme, students may also plan and implement projects and events, and make presentations at idea competitions, etc.
Student presentations may also be given at academic conferences.
5 30 Wrap up Summarize what you have learned throughout the year.
