授業の概要・ねらい
/Course Aims
Students have various opportunities to participate in overseas /domestic activities related to tourism. Global Learning Advanced includes programs of GIP which provide project-based learning activities related to global issues on tourism, offered or approved by the Faculty.
The contents of activities in Global Learning Advanced will be more advanced and specialized than in Global Learning Activities and Self-Directed Project.
The faculty will offer a few programs for this academic year.
Global Learning Advanced G requires more than 90 work hours for accreditation.

For enrollment, students are required high proficiency in English language and a certain level of expertise in tourism.

If students want to plan an original program, it must be approved by the faculty in advanced.
For example, summer school tourism seminars offered by universities could be a guide for the approval.

/Course Objectives
To enhance ability to understand and analyze accurately what happened in areas which a program covers.
To enhance ability of solution to various tourism issues from both global and local perspective through advanced programs.

Credit will be awarded towards the working hours of each program and submission of reports/deliverables.
More details are specified in program detail.

Global Learning Advanced認定単位数は、GP対象科目として加算されます。
★15期生以降
Global Learning Advanced(上限2単位)のみ、GP指定科目として加算されます。

The language used in each program is English. Students need to have a sufficient level of language proficiency (not only speaking skill but also reading and writing skill) for conducting program and a certain level of expertise in tourism.
Some programs may set criteria for enrollment.
Check Campus Square message, the Wakayama University Moodle and the noticeboard for the program details and the information session.
The application forms will be distributed on the Wakayama University Moodle.

Project may need costs. It is specified in each project description.
Travel insurance and OSSMA service are pre-requisite for enrolling if the project is conducted oversea.

1 Call for programmes Students interested in Global Learning Advanced programs are strongly advised to attend the information session, as the details of the programs will be explained.
The date and venue will be notified in advance.  
This is an outline of the course. Please refer to the information on each programme.
2 Preparatory study Independent study related to the topic of the project. Details will be given by the instructor in charge. Please check the details of programmes, etc.
3 Practical activities The activities are carried out in accordance with the theme and the specific plan.
They always check the role of their activities within the team as a whole.
4 Compilation of activities The results of the activities are compiled in consultation with the instructor in charge and other relevant parties, which are then analysed, verified and discussed.
5 Review Review the results of each programme, e.g. through literature review and comparison with other relevant case studies, etc.
