授業の概要・ねらい
/Course Aims
The goal of this course is to help you use principles of tourism to think strategically about business decisions. "Learning outcomes” at the beginning of every session to orientate you and to focus your mind in respect of the key concepts that underpin each session. In this course, I will introduce as many real cases as possible to deepen your understanding of tourism principles, rather than being based on a theoretical background. I expect all of you to engage the material, your classmates, the faculty and your abilities, with vigor.

/Course Objectives
After taking this course, I expect you to be comfortable in using theories to analyze any given real case relating to tourism. To achieve these goals, we will be using a variety of learning tools, including readings and projects.

This is a course teaching in English, but not a course teaching English. Please preview and review the lecture content very session. The total time for preview and review is approximately 90 hours. The students are expected to learn more things by themselves besides the class every week

・ Final group presentation 25%

授業理解を深める方法
/How to deepen your understanding of classes
The students are expected to positively learn and find “something new” through group work and fieldwork rather than passively accept the things taught in the class. At the end of the course, all of the students are required to present a tourism management related case that researched by themselves. Students are also suggested set the learning outcomes by themselves.
