授業の概要・ねらい
/Course Aims
The course aims to provide an academic forum for students to share and refine their research process within the GP community as they develop their Global Program (GP) English thesis.

English Lab III consists of eight sessions in which students complete a series of assignments and present their work in English to the class. Guest speakers may be invited to class.

Students articulate their thoughts and ideas to develop their own research and writing while actively participating in discussions to contribute to their peers’ research and share their own knowledge and insights.

The skills and experiences gained in this course are valuable not only in academia but also in the global society of the future.

/Course Objectives
Upon completing this course, students will be able to:

1. Complete required tasks using appropriate language and meeting deadlines according to an established project schedule.
2. Present their research findings on a tourism-related topic to their peers with confidence and actively engage in discussions.
3. Understand and articulate the importance of contributing to the community both academically and internationally.
成績評価の方法・基準
/Grading Policies/Criteria
Student’s overall grade in the class will be determined by the followings:
Participation in the class activities (30%)
Submission of the assignments on time (30%)
Performance in the presentations given in 3 different sessions (40%)

/Notice for Students
1. This is a Global Program course; as such, all instruction will be conducted in English. All students are expected to attend all classes, participate actively, and communicate in English. Students should contact their instructor immediately prior to class if they are unable to attend class for any reason.

2. All official course communication will take place through student's university email account and the Microsoft Teams. Please check the university email and Teams for this course daily throughout the course.

3. Students must contact the instructor if they are having difficulty with the course.

1. Students are expected to bring their own computer to class.
2. Students are expected to check the class schedule in the first class. Course content may be adjusted based on the number of students enrolled.

/Instructions for studying outside class hours
Students are expected to prepare for class activities outside of scheduled class time. In the event of an absence, they must submit substantial assignments.

/How to deepen your understanding of classes
This course will provide students with opportunities to derive reasonable solutions on their own to subjects for which there are no universal correct answers or standardized models, and  to deepen their knowledge by adding new perspectives based on students' interests.(Active Learning Components: ④,  ⑤, ⑧)
