Abstract
This paper describes a platform to develop negotiating agents,
whose
knowledge and rules of behavior are represented as abductive logic programs.
The platform implements a flexible negotiation framework.
Negotiating
agents can operate with multiple goals and incomplete knowledge,
and dynamically modify their goals depending
on the progress of the negotiation exchanges.
Differently from other frameworks,
agents can operate dishonestly,
by generating false statements or statements
that are not substantiated by the agents' knowledge.
The proposed platform has been implemented using the ASP-Prolog platform.
